With concern of today’s public health emergency regarding COVID-19, the leadership team at Awaken has been closely monitoring CDC updates, recommendations, and directives from our local and national government. Our prayer is that among all the messages you’re being bombarded with, you would find strength in God and support in your church family.

The health and safety of our church has always been, and will always be one of our first priorities. In light of recent updates, we are having to do church a little differently in this season.

Instead of meeting together at our physical locations, we will be meeting together online through our website and social media platforms.

We have not made this decision out of a place of fear, rather, in wisdom and in accordance with what the CDC is advising.

We encourage you to engage online with your family or your Life Group on weekends as we worship, pray and receive a timely word from Pastor Brian. We are believing for God to show up powerfully in the midst of this unprecedented time!

Remember… In times of crisis, hospitals don’t close, they expand their coverage of care. Awaken Church has never been a club for Christians, we are a hospital for hurting people. This is the church’s finest hour, and Awaken will rise to the challenge of meeting the needs of our community. The need is great, but so is the opportunity, so here is our plan: Connect in smaller groups!

Again, out of an abundance of caution and due to the school’s closure, although not meeting together at our physical locations, we will be meeting together online through our website and social media platforms.  Below you will find two helpful resources to help you as you navigate the technological world.
We are currently planning to broadcast our Sunday Morning Service at 10 AM via Facebook Live, It will then be available On Demand on our YouTube Channel
While we are encouraging you to meet in Life Groups, in accordance with the CDC’s  policy to keep gatherings to less than 50 people, we also understand that some of you may not feel comfortable meeting in person.  We would challenge you to utilize social media platforms and / or programs such as Skype to stay connected with your group(s).  We believe this is the best way to grow in our faith during this trying season of large group separation!
