Awaken Outreach Center Coordinator

Part-Time Position | Awaken Church

Awaken Church is seeking a passionate, organized, and people-focused Outreach Center Coordinator to help lead the ministry and day-to-day operations of the Awaken Outreach Center.

The right person for this role will have a genuine heart for meeting the practical needs of our community while representing the heart and mission of Awaken Church. This position requires someone who loves people, leads well, takes initiative, and can build strong systems and strong teams.

This is a part-time position for someone who wants to use their leadership, organizational skills, and heart for people to make a tangible difference in our community.

  •  •    Oversee the day-to-day operations and organization of the Awaken Outreach Center

        •    Recruit, train, schedule, encourage, and develop a strong team of volunteers

        •    Create a welcoming, compassionate environment for individuals and families seeking assistance

        •    Build relationships with community organizations, businesses, donors, and ministry partners

        •    Identify opportunities to expand the Outreach Center's impact in our community

        •    Assist with developing and managing outreach programs, special projects, and community initiatives

        •    Maintain effective systems for donations, inventory, resources, volunteers, and community assistance

        •    Track ministry impact and maintain appropriate records and reporting

        •    Research funding opportunities and write and manage grant applications

        •    Work closely with Awaken Church leadership to ensure the Outreach Center reflects the mission, culture, and values of Awaken

  • The ideal candidate is someone who is great with people and great at management. They can connect compassionately with someone in need while also leading volunteers, organizing resources, managing details, and moving initiatives forward.

    Candidates should have:

        •    Experience with grant writing and grant research

        •    Strong leadership and management skills

        •    Proven ability to recruit, build, and lead volunteer teams

        •    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

        •    Strong organizational and administrative abilities

        •    Initiative and the ability to work independently

        •    A heart for serving people with dignity, compassion, and excellence

        •    Ability to develop relationships and partnerships throughout the community

        •    Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Awaken Church
